Rakesh Gangwani

Rakesh is the Executive Director of Sales & Marketing for the Filtration business unit at CumminsInc. In this role, Rakesh oversees sales to global equipment manufacturers, product management,marketing communications, and program management. He also leads the strategy function and iscurrently leading efforts to expand the business into adjacent growth markets.

Rakesh has extensive business, strategy, and finance experience with expertise in strategicpartnerships, corporate development, business planning, operations, and marketing.

Prior to his current role, Rakesh served as Senior Director of Corporate Development at Cummins. Inthis role, he successfully completed multiple acquisitions and joint venture projects, supported thestrategy work for the Electrification business unit, and was responsible for building capabilitieswithin the organization to ensure successful integration of the target post-transaction.

Rakesh previously served as the General Manager for Cummins Qatar, where under his leadership, evenues grew threefold, and Cummins market share doubled. He placed a strong emphasis onprocess improvement, which led to ISO 9001 certification for the business. He also led the ChannelManagement, Service Functional Excellence, and Distributor Development functions for the MiddleEast region for Cummins during this period.

Rakesh started his career on the manufacturing line and later held investment and corporatefinance roles before moving into general management. He has worked in different regions and hasled large cross-functional teams.

Rakesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an MBA degreein Finance. He also holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter.
